Test your geographical knowledge with this online mapping puzzle

Our most popular tweet last month was a link to this online map puzzle.

It challenges your geographical knowledge by asking you to recognise countries purely from their outline, and makes you think again about national borders and how they came to be.

Let us know how you get on.

An enjoyable exercise. I went to school in the days when all students had to have their own atlas for geography lessons, and regional geography was studied both at school and university, hence I didn't find it too difficult.

A fun game, just two countries took a little while to think about, of which one I gave up trying to recognise it and scoured the shapes of the countries to spot the fit. Would be nice to replay with random alternatives - small countries should prove more challenging!

Very interesting - it took a while to finish it but I enjoyed it a lot!

A scando country had me stuck for a while, but excellent. Would be better with HydroView Now - http://www.seazone.com/hydroviewnow.php as an overlay to Google Maps

Very enjoyable - it'd be great to play one with lots more countries.
