Would you like to become a Geographical reviewer?
12/03/16
We are currently seeking people with specialist knowledge in all areas of geography, particularly physical geography; exploration; expedition leadership; conservation; sustainable design; energy; digital mapping; international development; and green economics. We would also be interested in hearing from people who are experts in the culture or history of particular countries or regions, plus writers who are parents of under-16s and feel they are well-placed to judge non-fiction books aimed at children.
Our budgets are small so you won’t make a fortune, but we do pay £40 for a 250-300-word review, plus it’s a chance to express your opinions in print and gain a byline in a highly-regarded publication.
Still interested in becoming a Geographical reviewer? Please send an email to olivia@geographical.co.uk outlining your area of expertise, and including two examples of your writing – remember we are not an academic journal so are looking for people with an accessible writing style.
I’m afraid we won’t be able to respond to everyone who gets in touch, but if we think you’re suitable we’ll add you to our list and send you an email next time we have a book that falls within your subject area.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
