When Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcano erupted earlier this year, a huge ash cloud caused the greatest disruption to air travel since the Second World War. As a result, businesses around the globe lost billions of pounds, but, scientists warn, the worst is yet to come, with larger eruptions predicted for the future.
