Environmental photography on show

A photography exhibition is to open this October in London, showcasing a selection of high-quality photographs highlighting environmental and social issues from around the world
Now in its third year, the Environmental Photographer of the Year is run by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) to recognise photographers who try to raise awareness of environmental and social issues in their work. From places and people to vulnerable ecosystems and communities that are struggling with a changing climate.

The exhibition includes winning and highly commended images from the five categories and this year, nearly 2,500 pictures were entered from over 60 countries including Serbia, Jamaica, Belarus, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Romania, India, South Africa, Australia, Israel, USA, China, Belgium, Vietnam and the UK.

The free exhibition will be open to the public from 7th to 18th October at 3 Bedfordbury Gallery, Covent Garden, London WC2N 4BP. For more information, visit www.ciwem.org/arts/photographer

Limited edition prints of some of the entries will be available for sale during this exhibition only.
